The module is designed to build your knowledge of corporate finance, and examines the financial practices of the global organisation.
Business Analysis
This module provides a comprehensive understanding of the core business processes, including change management, project planning and management. You will explore the effective use of information technology, financial analysis and business in an international context.
Governance, Risk and Ethics
This module looks at internal control and at identifying, assessing and controlling risk. It also builds essential skills, in the context of risk and ethics, that are high in demand in the accounting and finance industry.
International Corporate Reporting
The module builds on the knowledge gained during the foundation level study. It contextualizes the accountant role as a professional steward, adviser and analyst. It includes an exploration of the wider professional requirements and responsibilities to stakeholders and an appreciation for sustainable business strategies.
Research Skills and Project Management
This module is designed to enable students to offer solutions to business challenges through analysis and reference to appropriate information. An awareness of sources of relevant information and other research methods, their limitations and how these can be used to evaluate objectives, evidence and recommendations for actions will be emphasied.
Accounting Dissertation
This module is concerned with a detailed analysis of one or more related accounting scenarios based upon primary and secondary evidence. The analysis encompasses knowledge acquired from the subject matter of the taught modules of the programme, and the students’ dissertation demonstrates the relationship between objectives, research methods, evidence evaluation and conclusion.
