Disability and Welfare
Support for students with disability or welfare concerns
The Disability and Welfare team are the first point of contact for you if you have a physical, mental, or social disability, health concerns, a specific learning difficulty such as dyslexia, if you are a care leaver, have dependents at home, if you are an adult learner or any other welfare or disability concern.
The service offers guidance and advice for you if you fall within this category or suspect you may fall into these categories. Through internal and external support we aim to make sure your experience in education is enjoyable and the process is as smooth as possible.
If you do fall into one of the above categories or if you would like to know more about the service and support available, we strongly recommend you meet with a member of the team to discuss the best way we can support you through your studies.
GSM London strives to make anticipatory adjustments where possible, enhancing the layout of the building and curriculum design. However, we understand that each persons needs are different and need you to let us know if further support or changes need to be taken in to consideration to enable you to participate fully in the overall experiences.
GSM London encourages students to disclosure their disabilities and discuss personal needs with the service, so that we can ensure tailored support is arranged.
Our aim is to provide a supportive and inclusive environment, in which reasonable adjustments can be made to ensure all students have the ability to fulfill their potential academically, as well as getting the most from Student Life.
