PLEASE NOTE !!
Due to the Bus System Motorola Use's
for Data Transfer (the same than for Audio Transmissions on Car Kits) the Phones
are really sensitive on De-/Activating the Cards (Windows does that through
PowerManagament before Dialing out), what means on every dial up the Phone will
just switch itself off, here are the Solutions for the different Operating
System's (Microsoft always changed in between, so there's a solution for each
OS).
Win95 : On Control Panel select Power, deactivate PCMCIA Power
Management
Win98 : use Power98.zip (readme in Word Format is
included, does the same than in Win95 manually)
Win NT : there's no Problem
like that, old NT doesn't have real Power Management inbuilt
Win 2000 : The
Problem is there but there's no Solution for that now, if anybody's got a
idea how to deactivate PCMCIA Power Management (not Power Management at all, i
know how to do that) please contact me on [email protected]
Win ME : Here's the same
modify to be done than on Win95 and 98 (on Win95 you can do that on Power
Options, on 98 you can use Power98 which is not running on ME but they do all
the same, modify a Registry Key). Download me56kpower.zip and run the .reg file,
you'll be informed about the registry Merge, reboot, that's it
